Dr Alex Timms

Born and raised on the Brisbane inner northside, Alex graduated from the University of Queensland with honours and since then has made it his focus to stay up to date with the latest dental techniques and treatments. To stay up to date with the latest advances in dentistry, he regularly attends seminars and post-graduate courses. Alex takes pride in delivering high quality, painless dentistry. He is also particularly interested in rehabilitation of function and aesthetics.

Alex’s honest and genuine approach to life transfers to his patient care with his motto being ‘treat everyone as if they were family’. In his spare time, Alex is a vibrant member of the local community with most weekends spent down supporting the local Norths Rugby Union team or off fishing – when not working.

Family friendly

We understand that kids need additional care and attention to ensure they grow up happy and healthy with beautiful teeth. To ensure no one misses out, we bulk bill all children eligible for Medicare’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule.

Preferred providers

All Health Funds are accepted. We are members choice preferred providers with TUH, BUPA, HCF, and CBHS, meaning that we ensure you get as much back from your private health as possible.

Community Program

One of Wavell Heights Dental community programs is the ‘No Gap Mouthguard’ promotion that Dr Timms runs. This involves conducting mouthguard clinics at local sporting clubs and taking impressions for custom dental mouthguards. Wavell Heights Dental provides mouthguards for many of the local sporting teams including:
